I am an Orange County native, born in Newport Beach and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. I was raised in a Christian home and was taught to love Jesus ever since I can remember. My involvement with FCA began at a young age, when I was first introduced to FCA at Sowers Middle School. We had a huddle that met twice a month. It was a great influence on my walk with Jesus.
After Sowers I attended Edison High School and was on the Surfing, Basketball and Football teams there. During my 4 years at Edison, I was a member of the leadership team for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle on Campus, and was Co-President my Junior and Senior Year. FCA was a great tool for me to share the love of Jesus with my friends and peers. Being in a leadership role was also a great way for me to be held accountable to what I believed and was professing.
I then moved on to Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA where I played football for the Gauchos. I was a member of the FCA Huddle on that campus as well, helping lead the bible studies during my second year. I had a successful career at Saddleback, not to say that it was without its struggles. I tore my ACL during my sophomore year and was sidelined for the season. It was a time where I grew in my faith and in my trust in Gods desire to use us for his purposes.
I wished to continue playing football, so I transferred to the University of Southern California where I joined the Trojan football team. I earned a scholarship after my 1st fall and lettered on the football team for 3 seasons from 2007-2009. During my career at USC I served as the 2nd team fullback and as a standout on Special Teams, Two of my many highlights from USC were getting to start the 2009 Rose Bowl Game vs. Penn State and playing a big role in our creaming of Notre Dame in 2008. I was a 2 time All-PAC 10 Academic Honorable Mention and maintained over a 3.0 GPA while at USC. I Graduated in December 2009 with a degree in Policy, Planning & Development, with an emphasis in Real Estate Development. While at SC I started a football Bible study that is continued on today through some of the current players.
In February of 2007 I
was married to my high school sweetheart and love of my life, the former Jessica Boyer. Jessica is also on staff with FCA (about 5 years) in the Western Region Office. In
June of 2009 we welcomed our 1 child into the world, Elijah Jeffrey, and in December 2010 #2 joined us, Grace Janna. We reside in our hometown of Huntington Beach, CA.
Needless to say, FCA played an integral role in my development as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I am very excited to be on staff with FCA and to help grow the realm of influence that FCA has for Jesus.
